Endurance Testing

At the Kisakallio campus, endurance testing is most commonly carried out for individuals and groups using a cycle ergometer test, which utilizes an indirect measurement of maximal oxygen uptake (VO₂max). For more precise training guidance and long-term performance monitoring, lactate threshold assessments can be incorporated into the test. The test is suitable for athletes, competitive fitness enthusiasts, and recreational exercisers alike. It provides valuable information on aerobic fitness, maximal oxygen uptake, and individual heart rate training zones, helping to optimize endurance training and monitor progress over time. We also conduct various field-based endurance tests, including shuttle run tests such as the Beep Test (PIIP Test) and the Yo-Yo Test. Testing services are provided by experienced specialists Mika Valavuori and exercise physiologist Bettina Wikström
